2006/6/7, David Davis <david.davis@xxxxxxxxxxxx>:

Well - any changes we make get footnoted as errata too :)

It all does seem a bit vague/confused -
I was under the impression that most of the sentient creatures
prior to the rise of Agarash were 'reptilian' (cf. the Crocaryx,
or however you spell it) ... following the deafeat of Agarash,
the Old Kingdoms were peopled by 'Drodarin' races (dwarves,
Kundi, etc etc) - humans didn't arrive until the age of the Shianti.
- HOWEVER- the undead Ixians seem to have humanoid form?
We might have expected them to be repitilian?

There is a place where you can inspect some Ixian crystal swords or such, and you note that they are not made for humans, so presumably the Ixians were basically humanoid in shape, like their skeletons imply, but had at least diffent looking hands/(paws etc. :-).

As for if everyone was reptilian - there is nothing said about what
the Magnamundians that came after Nyxator's dragons looked like. The
Agarashi came in many different shapes and forms, it seems.

I dunno, the main gripe is with the use of the term "Old Kingdom" -
it is fairly widespread through the books, and is defined in the
Magnamund Companion - its (mis)use in 'The Deathlord of Ixia'
sticks out like a bit of a sore thumb.

Is it used frequently in any other book than this one? (I don't have access/time to download and search at the moment...)
