I'm putting the finishing touches on The Deathlord of Ixia. I expect to be able to publish it tomorrow. One last reportedissue remains to be resolved: the mix up with the Ixians and the Old Kingdom timeline.
We can either footnote it (perhaps in The Story So Far): "Although the native Ixians are often described as belonging to the 'time of the Old Kingdoms' (Section 152), it is clear from the fact that the Deathlord destroyed them during the Age of Eternal Night that they could not have existed during the Age of the Old Kingdoms which began 1000 years after the Age of Eternal Night ended. (See The Magnamund Companion, 'Magnamund Then and Now'.) The author may have simply used the term 'Old Kingdom' to refer to any humanoid nation prior to the appearance of the Shianti.
Or we could:
141: crafted by Old Kingdom armourers -> crafted by ancient Ixian armourers 152: in the time of the Old Kingdoms -> in the time before the coming of the Deathlord 162: propelled by Old Kingdom magic -> propelled by ancient Ixian magic [jb: particularly because this section later says that it is "an arcane art far older and more benign than the Deathlord's vile necromancy"] 165: where once a proud and mighty race of the Old Kingdom reigned supreme -> where once a proud and mighty race reigned supreme before the coming of the Deathlord 343: in the time of the Old Kingdoms -> in the time before the coming of the Deathlord
That's all I found by searching for Old Kingdom.
