I had a look at PNGOut today... (Actually, the free trial of a GUI version the author is selling, rather than the free command line version). One of the things I noticed in the default settings is that it is set to remove ALL the "chunks" in the PNG file. Many of these are useful/important metadata about colour profiles, gamma, physical size etc... really, throwing them away in the ruthless pursuit of small file size is Not Necessarily A Good Thing in my opinion... ...just wanted to check how you guys have been using PNGout before you went and blitzed everything with it... -- David
