Jon, what should be the correct mime-type for JPG files? I am guessing image/jpeg but most of them seem to be set as application/octet-stream.I'm new here, and you weren't addressing me, but this is one I can answer. image/jpeg is the correct mime type for jpeg images. application/octet-stream is often used as a catch-all, where the correct mime type is not known. http://www.w3schools.com/media/media_mimeref.asp
Cheers, Brandon. Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't sure if it should be image/jpg or even something strange like image/jfif-jpeg etc. I'll fix all those that are currently incorrectly mime-typed as well.
That said, jpeg is probaly a lousy format for Lone Wolf images. jpeg is designed for real life photographs, where the same color is rarely used for more than one pixel. png is better for less realistic images, such as illustrations. But then again, I'm new here, and don't really know what jpegs you were referring to.
*nods* Yeah, we only use Jpeg for the full-colour maps; otherwise, we used GIF--though we're now moving over to use PNG instead. But the maps as PNGs (the Freeway Warrior maps notwithstanding) would be HUGE.
I'll keep looking into this; it should get done this afternoon. -- Simon Osborne Project Aon ~~~~~~ Manage your subscription at http://www.freelists.org/list/projectaon
