This is accessible via both, however to listen to books on a computer you
need to download the Audible Manager and this can be linked to ITunes which
you can use to listen to the books in, it was possible to use Windows Media
Player at one time but I have only used it with ITunes so not sure what
other options there might be for media players. You have to use the web for
certain things such as purchasing the books because this isn't possible to
do in the mobile app, so the book needs to be bought and added to your
library before you can download it to the computer or to your phone. I hope
