You can listen to audible books on your pc, but to be honest the app is a
far nicer experience.
Also you can then listen to books anywhere regardless of whether you have an
Internet connection.
On the pc you can use iTunes to play the book, and I think you also need to
install a separate audible download manager.
You can also stream the book directly from the audible website by going to
your library and hitting play button for the book you want to listen to.
I'm not sure how accessible the streaming player is i.e. how easy is it to
move back and forth in the audio, change to a different chapter etc and we
all know how unpleasant iTunes can be to use.
If you are running Windows 10 then I think there is an audible app for
Windows 10 but again I don't know how accessible it is.
