IN my opinion, Load stone is completely useless for new routes.
It's just as bad as the Trekker breeze.
You cant tell it where to navigate you to until you've done it before. Load
Stone doesn't even have maps from what I gather? I listened to an audio walk
through of it before and not only was I not convinced, I was utterly turned
off the idea.

Really, if you need a GPS solution, either look at the cheap solution, Mobile
way, or the more expensive humanware Trekker.

Loadstone is a complete waste of time in my opinion. What's the point of having
a system that will only guide you to places you've been to already! And even
then, It cant give you as accurate instructions as Mobile Access or Trekker can
as it, from what I gather, gives directions in degrees as apose to streets via
a map source.

I do commend the developers. It is a very worthy project however from what I
gather, not for the general publics consumption yet.

Darragh

A friend in our office is having training today on HumanWare products and I
know the guy who is coming to do the training. If I get time, I'll pop over
and do some digging.

Did a bit of digging on this one and there seems to be conflicting views
out there as to whether or not this gadget comes with maps or not.

Humanwares site doesn't mention it on the product page, but it refers to
"maps installed on the sd card" in the FAQ.

This link seems to suggest that the unit does come with maps for the UK
and Ireland:
http://www.emptech.info/product_details.php?ID=1869

And also I remember listening to a demonstration of the unit from site
village which said that it comes with maps.

If it does, I can't understand why they don't advertise this fact more.
Might be something to do with the fact that maps cost extra (just
guessing here).

I may be wrong and am prepared to be corrected, but my understanding is
you can only travel routes which you have already plotted; What's the
point of that?
