Hi Ciaran,

That's great, just what I wanted. I know I looked at the add words some
time ago but it was only the free one I used - I am sure the pay one will
give me a better result.

I will have a good look at both links you have suggested and thanks a
million for all.

Loretta

Hi Loretta,

Maybe try having a look at the following, Google make a number of
suggestions on how to achieve what you describe:
 <http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/topic.py?topic=8524>
http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/topic.py?topic=8524

Basically: Submit your site URL or site map directly to Google, increase the
number of other sites who provide links to yours (inlinks), use more
relevant keywords etc.

Or maybe AdWords would do the trick, read more at:
http://www.google.com/ads/

This involves spending a bit of money to have your link displayed before the
search results in what is termed the "sponsored links" section. You don't
get charged unless someone clicks the link, so it's possible to control
costs somewhat. You can specify the keywords you wish your site to be
associated with e.g. b&b Ireland, Irish b&b, b&bs in Dublin etc.

Hope this helps,

Ciaran

Hi All,

I would appreciate if somebody could give me some tips as to how I could
get a web site I designed some time ago for my sister in law to come up
in the first page of results when a visitor googles for it.

I had inserted "keywords" and a

"description" but I don't think this is enough to do the job. I used html
with an editer.

It is a small site just for Bed and Breakfast with about 4 or 5 pages and a

booking form.

Many thanks,

Loretta
