Hi folks, I installed IE7 last night. While doing so, (as expected,) , I had a number of warnings from Spybot and Spyware Guard, relating to registery and other changes. I think I allowed all changes. Should I have? when I rebooted, I expected to find IE6 replaced with an icon for IE7 on the desktop. However, there was no mention of IE7 on the desktop or in my programs list under the start menu. The IE6 information was unchanged - that is, still available from the desktop and start menu. However, I did find IE7 listed in the Control Panel's add remove programs. Question: from here, can I go into properties and place a shortcut on the desktop, as well as a link from the start menu? Additional unrelated question: Before installing Grisoft's firewall, am I correct in thinking that I should disable XP's firewall first?
