Hi Paul, I believe a program called "Total Recorder" will allow you to do so. More information from: www.highcriteria.com The site also has tutorials on sound recording and audio restoration. I'm not sure of the cost, I think about$30 or so. I think the demo only allows you to record for one minute, or maybe longer, but inserts bursts of noise at regular intervals. You can listen to a review of the program done on ACB radio's Main Menu show, dating from april 2002. www.acbradio.org/mainmenu.html Use the find command to search for total recorder. Alternatively, you could probably use Gold Wave, in which case, i think you'd need to choose appropriate settings in your window's volume control; such as selecting wave, from the record dialog.
