  Hi Paul,

I believe a program called "Total Recorder" will allow you to do so. More
information from:
  www.highcriteria.com

The site also has tutorials on sound recording and audio restoration.

I'm not sure of the cost, I think about$30 or so.

I think the demo only allows you to record for one minute, or maybe longer,
but inserts bursts of noise at regular intervals.

You can listen to a review of the program done on ACB radio's Main Menu
show, dating from april 2002.

  www.acbradio.org/mainmenu.html

Use the find command to search for total recorder.

Alternatively, you could probably use Gold Wave, in which case, i think you'd
need to choose appropriate settings in your window's volume control; such as
selecting wave, from the record dialog.

  Hope this helps,

  Eamonn

  hi folks

  am using a site called

  www.mikesradioworld.com

have rigged up my stereo with auxiliary phono leads to the pc so can record
  radio station content onto tape

  but the big question is
can i save the content of the radio station on my pc and burn it onto cd

thought i was close to cracking the problem when i right clicked on a
station link and got a drop down menu which had 'add to burn list'
however i think this just burned the link on the cd because when i reloaded
the blank cd and opened the content i was hearing the station 'live' again

can anyone help or am i just stuck with the recording to cassette option

ps i did open the sound recorder in accessories and record that way but the
  result was very' trebl'
can i adjust the quality here , maybe just boost the bass

  any help

  keep the faith
  paul jy
