As long as it's for personal use only, and not resold, rebroadcast, or played 
in public, you're ok.  (I sent Paul off list a Daily Telegraph article on 
Internet Radio recording.  It recommended total Recorder and/or Replay AV.)

  I think recording FM radio is not covered under the same law because tapes 
etc are priced including the royalties.

  Not sure.  Just going from bits and pieces I know about copyright.
