Interesting. I hadn't thought of checking for a firmware update. It's running XP. -----Original Message----- From: vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ciaran Ferry Sent: 29 April 2009 11:01 To: vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [vicsireland] Re: problems with certain websites Nicky, If you're running Vista on your NC10, could the problem be related to the connection between Vista and your router (you are using a wireless router aren't you)? I had a similar problem which I never resolved with a laptop and an old 3com router. I tried updating the firmware on the router but it had no effect. Ended up changing broadband provider which meant that I got a new router and hence the problem was resolved. Apparently in the early days Vistas in-built support for wireless routers was quite poor. If you were able to use it perfectly with wi-fi in the UK then it may indicate that the issue is with your router and not your netbook. It could be worth getting hold of a different model of router to test this theory. Hope this helps, Ciaran
