Hi, Nicky,Have you considered that the wireless router in your house might be the problem?
I suggest you try attaching to the router using a cable and trying that. It's worth a bash.

Hi folks, I still do not have any joy with this problem. I am still not able to access certain websites on my nice new netbook. Last week I was in the UK and I was able to use it without a problem using a wireless connection over there. Here in my own house I have the problems. So far this problem has been beating me and the people trying to help me but hopefully someone might have some ideas about it. I would be grateful for any assistance at all.Cheers, Nicky.----- Original Message ----- From: "Stuart Lawler" <stuart.lawler@xxxxxxx>To: <vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, April 16, 2009 8:40 AM Subject: [vicsireland] Re: problems with certain websitesHi Darragh,If this is only happening when the machine is on a wireless connection thenI'd suggest removing the Samsung wireless drivers or manager and lettingwindows manage the wireless network. I wasn't aware that it only happened on wireless and my first thoughts were more about internet explorer securitysettings. Removing the Samsung wireless software should fix that. It is only when using wireless thatit fails to work. The error is a standard: "The page cannot be displayed" message. One thing that I've checked but I'm not convinced it's correct is the MTU setting for the BT connection. On my router it's 1432 however BT insist that it's 1400. If set incorrectly, this could account for slower than normal page loading resulting in a timeout. When pinging youtube for example, no packets are lost. I think he has now upgraded to IE8 and I assume is still experiencing the issue. As Nicky said, any suggestions would be very appreciated as at the moment I'm drawing a blank. I am using a Samsung netbook mc10 and am having problems connecting to certain websites. IE just says that it can't connect to the website and gives the usual error thing about checking that I have the address typed in corectly.I have just installed IE 8 to see if it might make a difference but it doesn't. One of the sites for example is youtube and I also tried connecting to ireland.com earlier and I can't get into it either. If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful to hear them.
