Not sure if this is going to help though. What I really need to see is
the
stderr from jacksmtray, and so far that's been hard to find.

Compiled and installed debug edition OK then started jacksmdaemon,
jacksmtray, ardour3 and yoshimi each in there own terminal. Didn't get
so much as a peep out of the jacksmtray terminal and the only thing
yoshimi had to say for itself was 'Config saved to
/home/dan/.config/yoshimi/yoshimi.config' which is no use of course.
Can't see it being any use but this is what jacksmdaemon spewed forth
when I loaded the session:

Given the history of getting to here, any old yoshimi session files you've
got are unlikely to do anything sensible, so it'd be good to delete them.

I always use new sessions when testing these things anyway.

Then let's start with the simple basics. Just fire up jacksmtray, then fire
up just yoshimi. Set some jack connections, select an instrument, then save
that session via jacksmtray. That will produce some stderr that I'd like to
see.

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/local/bin/jacksmtray", line 274, in <module>
gtk.main()
KeyboardInterrupt

Then try Quit Session from jacksmtray - that works for me.

Doesn't work for me. stderr reports nothing from yoshimi other than
what I've said already about saving the config.

Try loading that session from jacksmtray - jack connections, instrument
selection et al? That works for me.

Tried again - same iffy result.
