As things stand at the moment, the midi restructure (in 0.062, not 0.060)
makes exposing additional synth controls to midi control fairly trivial,
so the question remains - what to expose?

Thats great to hear. Is there a limit to how many you can or are
prepared to assign? Did you say only 128 could have CC assignments at
any one time? Forget about assigning any of the numerous sliders for
harmonics etc but a cursory glance at the various FX and synth control
dials for AD, SUB + PAD suggests we have a few hundred dials that
could be automated as a guesstimate.

Sure there are, but seriously ... is there really a case for being able to
tweak _all_ of them on the fly via midi control? So far I'm not convinced.

Somebody on this list had started writing up a CC wishlist against
some kinda MIDI spec IIRC- what happened to that? I'm sure Will will
have something to say about the choices here if we are restricted to
only a subset of the controls available.

There's 0 -> 127, of which these are already in play -
bankselectmsb: // 0
modwheel: // 1
volume: // 7
pan: // 10
expression: // 11
bankselectlsb: // 32
sustain: // 64
portamento: // 65
filterq: // 71
filtercutoff: // 74
soundcontroller6: // 75 bandwidth
soundcontroller7: // 76 fmamp
soundcontroller8: // 77 resonance center
soundcontroller9: // 78 resonance bandwidth
allsoundsoff: // 120
resetallcontrollers: // 121
allnotesoff: // 123

cheers.

My first thought is to implement controllers 91 to 93, which are already MIDI
defined as effects 1 to 3 depth (wet/dry?). As we only have three effects per
part available at any one time, this should be applied to whatever effect has
actually been used in Yoshi's respective slots.

Also, as far as I am aware, Mod wheel only affects frequency modulation
(vibrato). It would be rather nice to have a controller for amplitude modulation
(tremolo). Controller number 3 is undefined so maybe that would be a good one to
use.

Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.
