If this is the case, I'm shocked they've attempted to use Audio Description as a selling point in this very unclear way 'audio description compatible'. It's no more meaningful than saying "this tv set is sound compatible" if you can listen to TV on it.
A few years ago, TV manufacturers were pulling a similar trick saying that TV sets were HD ready even though they didn't have an HDMI cable socket.

Well the TV I was asking about doesn't have AD after all, even though it was listed in the product info. So it has gone back to Argos. I didn't get another as the descriptions clearly can't be trusted, so the only thing is to go to a shop and ask to see the AD actually working before I buy the telly. Can anyone recommend a specific model with AD? Looking for around 19 inches, LCD, no DVD required. Thanks for all the help.
