Hi. I've seen the latest adver which goes along the lines of telling you that your HD TV Ready Tv is only ready for HD. It was a Sky advert and what they were trying to point out is that if you don't have the HD services installed from Sky then you will not benefit from HD quality TV.

If this is the case, I'm shocked they've attempted to use Audio Description as a selling point in this very unclear way 'audio description compatible'. It's no more meaningful than saying "this tv set is sound compatible" if you can listen to TV on it.

A few years ago, TV manufacturers were pulling a similar trick saying that TV sets were HD ready even though they didn't have an HDMI cable socket.

Well the TV I was asking about doesn't have AD after all, even though it was listed in the product info. So it has gone back to Argos. I didn't get another as the descriptions clearly can't be trusted, so the only thing is to go to a shop and ask to see the AD actually working before I buy the telly.

Can anyone recommend a specific model with AD? Looking for around 19 inches, LCD, no DVD required.

Thanks for all the help.
