Steve, that's what I'd call fair trading.

that's the crux of everything I've said on this subject.

Few of us are privileged to know exactly what's going on here, but I'm
thinking that the total profit on a deal like this might in fact be
£400-500 if they're buying in at the sort of price US
dealers/distributers buy at.

To judge by the record of pricing for JFW this isn't going to change
one iota!  It is very unjust.

What about a price plan that allowd the Power user to opt out of
uneeded
tech support unless the product is faulty?

The power-user could get two free phone calls and have to pay after
that
unless the product is faulty.

Similar to Microsofts home-user telephone support?
