Andy, The problem of XP Home was my biggest one when searching for a new laptop recently. I ended up with far less choice than I wanted and everything I *really* wanted would have required me to by Jaws Professional or settle for WE only, which I still feel unable to do. You're going to have to make choices here between upgrading JAWS, going permanently to WE or settling now for a system that you can still get with XP Home. Some folk, like me, really don't fully get through this learning curve with Window-Eyes and I object to having to go to JAWS professional, though perhaps, a few months on, this would now be the best route. -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andy Logue" <andy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, January 18, 2007 2:10 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: New computer recomendations > Hi Dave. > > So if I wish to move forwards, so to speak, I'll have to go down the Media > Center path, with either JAWS 8 Professional or WindowEyes 6.
