Hi Sam,

The VAT rules are pretty clear, if you are purchasing an item which is
specifically designed for a visually impaired person, such as a Braille Note
taker, this can be exempt from VAT.  If however you are buying a standard
item such as an IPhone, this isn't VAT exempt.  That said, it is always
worth asking the supplier and see what they say!
