Andy,

In XP I got round the JFW problem by discovering that
Narator wasn't half 
bad reading out the needed screen to alter sound settings,
so I started to 
use it and found I was well pleased that I could still have
some speech and 
unload Jaws.

Never thought I'd see the day though when I opted for
Narator as an option.

Now, I have a funny feeling someone said that has been
removed in Vista ...

Must be time for another drink or two before we tackle that
one ...
