There is a rocket engine calc zip file in Arocket archives that will give you everything you need to build a silver cat pack motor.
You tell it how long you want the motor to run and what % H2O2 and it will give you the basic numbers for a motor.

for some reason I can't download it but maybe you can.

Here's the quick and dirty calculation I would do.

I'd expect half of the pressure to be lost to pressure drops in the system so plan for a chamber pressure of 470 psi.

At that pressure a peroxide monoprop system might get 100-110 seconds Isp depending on concentration of peroxide. I used RPA and took 20% off of theoretical to leave a nice big margin.

At 100 seconds Isp 6.23 lbm/s would generate 623 lbf of thrust.

To calcualte the throat area use this formula:

Thrust = chamber pressure * throat area * thrust coefficient

Thrust coefficient is an empirical fudge factor. Â 1.2 usually works well, so:

623 lbf = 470 psi * area * 12

area = 1.1 square inches

throat diameter = 1.18 inches

Make the chamber diameter three times the throat diameter.

If you feel optimistic redo the calculation with an Isp of 110.

I'll take that advice!

Here are the pump specs:

Mass Flow = 6.23 lb/s
DP = 940 psi
NÂ = 50 kRPM

There are no pressure drops taken into account of course at the
pressure.

Can you give me a quick and dirty chamber size and throat diameter?
