I think the question is less whether it is achievable than whether it is
useful. The off-nominal performance is terrible, and I think that SpaceX
has demonstrated that staging concerns are overstated. If BFR happens, I
think it would be very tough to beat it with an SSTO in terms of mission
flexibility.
