You were having trouble getting on the list when Mustafa explained that,
but I want to defend the use of pseudonyms. Pseudonyms, also known as
screen names, have been used on the Internet since its inception. The
point is to protect one's privacy and to preserve anonymity. Before the
Internet there was the same practice in the realm of CB radios. In that
case they were called handles. Personally, I have another email address
with a pseudonym attached to it. The email address I use for this list
was originally intended to be for business purposes. If I had stuck to
my own rules when I first set up my addresses I would not have used this
one for an email list and would be here under a fake name. Anyway, when
Mustafa subscribed after having been gone for several years he was quick
to identify himself. He said that the name Bob Evans was invented for
his participation on a white supremacist list. He did not elaborate
about that list.

Hi all,
I have one question for Bob Evans. Why is it that you have decided to change
your name. Mostafa is an honorable name is it not? IMHO, changing your name
like that suggests some sort of deception.
I am open to the possibility of being wrong here, but I cannot fathom any good
reason for this change.
