And I don't know how you accepted something like "Developement of a control
panel which is more user friendly and fully functional as cpanel from
scratch." That's not possible by 1 programmer(or there where other plp on
your team)!!

This is to share my experience with a company called netdomains near guindy
run by Mr.Santhosh.
It is written with just the intention to help the open source developers not
get fooled into certain work practises .
I joined this company as a consultant. It had nothing to call its business
except for a 3rd party service which they were buying and selling , a
designr who knows html , no css and no javascrit and one .net developer for
small web contracts that they take.
I was assigned the job to complete 4 projects.
1. Train a new recruit fresher with no idea of opensource , not any mvc
framework , no javascript to make a personal information manager with the
feel of outlook express online.
2.Developement of a control panel which is more user friendly and fully
functional as cpanel from scratch.
3.Develop a website builder
4.Develop a system where all the above integrates.
And besides that , help the .net developer with every doubt that he gets
stuck at.
Make technical documentation(proposal) for new contracts the company
pursues.
Provide solutions for every small project they pursue.
Lots of work . And it was clearly mentioned each one will be done
consequtively.
I was on a payroll.
First month he pays me half of the money and says in few days he will pay
the rest as he is financially week.
Second month , not even half the money.
Then he bring a sorry state and gets me to work without payment for the
remaining months.
The developer whom he recruitted quits , leaving PIM half way.
She was paid 3000 a month obvious she will quit once she got the knowledge.
Sales guy quits
Front desk lady quits
.net developer quits
I rebuke the .net developer ,asking how can he be so unethical to quit
without prior notice and proper handover.
He informs that his salary was just 4000 rupees and even that was not paid
regularly.
The same guy now works for 32k a month in a different company.
The same guy brings me to light of the companies former practises , how
before me someone else was doing things and they were not paid too.
A new sales guy was recruited for 30k a month who quit his job in NIS.
End of the month he is not paid too.
When I ask my payment , the man says I am expensive for him .
So he would like to put development on hold till things turn good.
Then after 1 week he makes a peanut 5k payment and says you have to help us
finsinh the projects , so that we can pay your pending amounts.
Now he wants me to help him for free , not even as debit .. for me to get my
pending payments.
Out of pure pity I accept to dedicate 4 hours every week to just give
guidance to his new recruit developer for free.
He sends a statement saying he owes me 75k and wil be paid soon.
After 1 week , he calls me and says something has to be done to develop
things.
I tell him , anymore support from me would require payment in advance .
He currently mails me saying that I dont deserve the money and I need to
complete the above mentioned projets to get payment.
I was on a payroll .
Few of the projects were done more than once and totally scrapped off ,
becasue he came up with totally new requirments.
I have an agreement signed by him before I joined work.
Should I pass it on to my family lawers is still something I am speculating
on.
Moral of the story:
1. When on payroll and a salary is not paid in full on the appointed date -
QUIT. th first month.
2. Kindly consider and get payments in advance for your own good before
doing anything for netdomains.
