The usual cause for Firefox discomfort is interoperability issues with
the extensions you may have installed. Check with Firefox in safe mode
(firefox -safe-mode) and see if your problem still persists.
In any case, nobody is forcing you to use Firefox. If you are not
happy with Firefox, you are welcome to use any other browser that you
deem fit. The driving principle of Free Software is that you don't get
to whine; you get to fix your problems yourself. For example, off the
top of my head, you have Konqueror, Galeon and a host of others -

has 272 projects listed. Go try all of them and pick the one that best
suits you.
