I dont know by firefox sux, really sux on my linux ,
Which version? distro? hardware system specification?
I have used it on Red Hat, Gentoo, SuSE, Debian,
Ubuntu with 256 MB, 512 MB RAM and have had no issues,
whatsoever.
I have tried this firefox on gentoo and other
Linuses, but no use...
Never make blunt statements.
I am using firefox 1.5.0.1 presently on Suse,
but I have tried same on gentoo by compiling it (a bit better) , used it
on
Ubuntu and found to be realllllyyyy slow... moreover when ever I am
installing new version, its getting more and more slow. My ram is 512 +
128, (i wonder if placement of RAM in slots matter?? ) my CPU celeron
2.8
But I didnt try disabling extensions, I am using ck patches with desktop
optimization,
FOR detailed comparison of browser speeds see
http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/browserSpeed.html
even the key strokes respond slower while typing,
ya i can use any other browser but they dont support all sites well..

Here is a link telling how you can make firefox fast, however he has also
added in the end, doing so , sometimes, the webserver may be high.
