It is not merely a matter of preference. English is a
lanbguage
read from top to bottom. Putting later responses on top causes readers
to have to revert the natural flow of reading the response, and makes
it harder to follow the discussion; as does untrimmed useless clutter.
I agree with you so far. Where I disagree is on the productivity of actually
trying to enforce personal preferences on others who don't care a shit about
top, bottom, sideways etc posting .. they need help.
If they get it, great. If they don't - well, they'll call a friend, ask on
another list, etc. Or dig around on google some more. Or maybe just wait
till someone replies.
