after many years I tried out Koffice again - it rocks. It does odf.
And you can finish writing an article in kword before openoffice even
loads. I have uninstalled open office.
kpresenter creates frames for each slide which doesn't exactly fit in
OOo. I had a tough time when I created the slides with kpresenter and
tried to present it with impress (I had to redo the presentation to
make it look somewhat OK).
One good thing with koffice is its ability to import PDF files, I have
not seen that capability in any other word processors. Sadly it
doesn't export to PDF (in my earlier case I could have done a pdf
presentation, if only it had supported it).
