yes - i've heard this too

yet someone told me that one of his "outsourced" IBM thinkpad had issues
with Linux (XFree86 rather) detecting the video chipset an year back.

not that i know of .. they're using pretty standard hardware

There are these new notebooks that I've come across in this month's
PCQuest magazine - Ingram Micro, Edge, Connoi and Benq.

Benq is the new name of Acer
