hahaha, we too have large numbers of birds at the feeders, including a beautiful Cardinal this morning. We go through 4 each 40 pounds bags of bird seed each month, though the birds would eat more!! We get it at Gebo's at $14.99 per bag. Any info on a better priced source would be good. Counted six in the group and fun to watch and learn their behavior compared to the house sparrow. I'm assuming I'm the rare house feeding in the snow as all the neighborhood birds seem to be hanging out on my patio today. First time to see the local cardinal family and a couple of mourning doves. Also had never seen doves as a group chase grackles away. The mockingbird comes and tries to play king-of-the-hill and chase everyone away, but that doesn't last long. More than the usual number of finches on the thistle feeder. Tom Dolan
