So it seems that the tall hill between you and Phila does not reduce the signal strength too much after all. So the problem with Phila stations must have been something else. Is there a water tower nearby that might be reflecting Phila signals, perhaps? Something like that might have created just the kind of pre-echo problem that would have made older receivers fail. Too bad all the Balt stations didn't come in, but hey. Maybe from a second floor bedroom, even that's possible. This sort of indoor reception capability is what the Linx and CRC tests of the past 2 1/2 years have been hinting would be possible. I think this is clearly better performance than NTSC indoor users were able to achieve. And to me, this is what could make OTA reception almost a no-brainer, even for many folks who rely on cable or DBS. I mean, why not? It's there, it's easy, and all it costs is the price of a Radio Shack double bowtie. Broadcasters have a great opportunity here. And it's still only the 4th quarter of 2005.
