How am I off base? The tier system, which you long oppose, subsidizes those 
small productions you champion. You can't have it both ways. The article

Inconsistent logic, Craig! A small-time production with small viewership gets 
*no* revenue streams, if they aren't subsidized by being included in a tier. No 
forced subscription fee kickback, and small ad revenue, spells imminent 
failure, does it not?

Not to mention, if there is no content owner twisting the MVPD's arm to provide 
exposure for this niche programming, there will be no incentive for the MVPD to 
carry that programming at all!
