Low power also won't apply to DVB-T or DAB receivers
anytime soon, for the same reasons. Eventually it will
apply, as the problem (high drain in high clock rate CMOS
devices) is solved.

Until then, TV broadcast to small, cheap, low power devices
will have to be solved the same way: with spectrum dedicated
to that specific purpose. On both sides of the pond. Could
be DVB-H or CDMA-schemes, both of which tackle the power
drain problem.

Even if DVB-H can coexist in the same frequency slice as
DVB-T, it still takes up spectrum. Have there been any cases
of DVB-H streams being overlaid on DVB-T streams, for
anything other than testing?

The cost differences between DVB-T and ATSC? Seems like old
news that got superseded.
