No, the security (and thus content) providers will scream the loudest about these as proof that content is being ripped off everywhere, and use them as a lynchpin to push more vendor services, restrictions, and higher costs on to the content providers and ultimately the consumer -- just like they do with DVDs and CDs now. There is an entire industry that depends on the content being ripped off (the 'mop up' shops who monitor content on P2P2 networks for huge sums of money with little expertees). Without fear, no-one would use security systems. The whole business model centers around this. It doesn't matter if HTPC users are 0.01% of the market...
