Not only that, but one would think that broadcasters would love to have an RF scheme that works without requiring people to erect outdoor antennas. As I indicated, my brother-in-law in Albuquerque just got one of those new LG DirecTV STBs. He was trying to figure out what to do to pick up local HDTV. Tried his cheap indoor antenna, and voila, no problems. > Perfect reception in adjacent markets is a PROBLEM, not a > feature. This depends on whether you talk to a real user of OTA TV, or whether you talk to cable, DBS, or even OTA *broadcasters*. From a consumer's stand point, no contest. Of course you want to pick up stations from as far away as possible.
