Perhaps those countries able to run their train services on schedule are more culturally equipped to meet such deadlines, while others obfuscate. However, this theory doesn't't seem to account for the British experience; they do run their trains on schedule but have also delayed their transition. On the other hand, their DTV transition seems to be occurring naturally as viewers voluntarily adopt that system in droves. Perhaps it's actually more about offering something of value, which also works well and is available at a reasonable cost. Bert, I know that you will disagree with my "works well" statement but you must also make the distinction between can work and does work, in your arguments. I also agree with Flyback's argument regarding the relative difference in the magnitude of the transition, between European countries and the U.S. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways: - Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at FreeLists.org - By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
