should we fix 336?

I don't have a good suggestion here.

Personally, I'd just drop "...from your Backpack..." from 336 to leave: "Guided by instinct, you hurriedly retrieve the statuette and hold it high above your head."

And also, reword sentence "If your Backpack is full you need not discard an item in its favour." to "If you are already carrying the maximum number of Special Items you need not discard an item in its favour." in 176. I can sort of understand Joe's reasoning on this--a Statuette is too big to fit in a pocket, but it is too important game-wise to be treated as a normal Backpack Item, so it becomes a Special Item that is stored in the Backpack. But is it really important to note *where* it is stored? The Backpack/Special Item confusion was pronounced in the Grey Star series, which is why we decided to drop all mentions of the Backpack for storing Special Items.

My recommendation is that we standardize on the following:

"If you wish to keep this Statuette of _____, mark it on your Action
Chart as a Special Item which you keep in your Backpack. If you
already carry the maximum number of Special Items allowed, you must
discard one item in its favour."

But if it is a Special Item stored in the Backpack, why discard another Special Item in its favour, since other Special Items are /not/ stored in the Backpack?
