Hi Maureen and all, Maureen, you probably already said this and I missed it, but did every other website work that you tried except airlingus? Ed -----Original Message----- From: vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Tony Murray Sent: 16 January 2007 09:18 To: vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [vicsireland] Re: Aerlingus Hi, I really don't think recommending a system alteration like the below in this particular situation is wise. Changing the page/swap file settings, or indeed moving it, is a task which should only be carried out if the computer user knows exactly what they are doing and what implications they may face. A website which is not performing as normal is rarely down to a problem with the user's Operating System settings. - Could cookies have been turned off in the browser? - Could JavaScript have been disabled? - As suggested, check the security settings. - Could there have been a problem with the Internet Service Provider (BT Ireland)? - Could there have been a problem with Aerlingus's site? I guess what I'm trying to say is, eliminate the easy stuff before making the major and sometimes potentially dangerous changes! If a problem with browsing a website is on the user's side (and it rarely is!), it's generally caused by a browser setting being changed. Most of the time, it's usually a problem with the connection to the site (your ISP), or the monkeys... like me, who build online applications!.. and nothing to do with you, the user.
