Dear Maureen,

Now that you mention it I seem to recall having similar trouble some time
ago and finding that it was a problem of RAM. JAWS takes up so much memory
and so do internet pages with images. How much RAM have you got? You can see
it under System in Control Panel.

Can you check the settings under multi-media in the advanced section of
Internet options and see if you are downloading images. If so, try turning
off everything to do with images. See if that speeds things up.

The other thing to check is the size of your swap file. This is a space that
Windows allocates to lay off bits of memory to make room for working
modules. If this is too small, the computer will slow down and even crash
out. If your memory in RAM is limited this could also contribute to the
problem and its effects would vary every time because it relates to the
workload of the computer in handling all the applications that are open.

All the best,

Cearbhall

Hello Cearbhall, I am using Internet Explorer and BT broadband. I am after
going into it now and got in o.k. The page was very slow in coming up.
Perhaps I am short of memory - could that be a factor? I have had no trouble
with Ryanair though. My computer I think is nearly bunched, I am having a
lot of trouble with it of late but I am waiting for Vista to come on stream
before purchasing a new one. Any idea when this is going to roll for the
home user?
Thanks for replying,
Maureen.
