Hi, Ronan,

There is a WIKI on Open Office. I don't know if you have come across it.

Each section of the WIKI refers to one element of Open Office, i.e. writer,
calc, etc. Apendix A of each refers to keyboard shortcuts. The one for calc
is found at:
https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/OOo3_User_Guides/Calc_Guide/K
eyboard_Shortcuts

Some specific shortcuts for selecting data are found at:
https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/OOo3_User_Guides/Calc_Guide/N
avigation_and_selection_shortcuts

There is also the option throughout Open Office of defining your own
shourtcuts.

A good source for shortcuts in general is found at:
www.keyxl.com

I hope this is of help.

Take care,

Gerry Ellis

If you don't know where you're going,
How will you know when you get there?

Hi Folks,

Gerard, I have looked at Open Office Writer and calc but not at the
database yet. So far, the accessibility of Writer and Calc look very
good. Cearbhall seems to have had more in-depth experience with
Calc.

With regard to the Excel shortcut keys...

Many of these are the same in Open Office but not all.

I am not sure as yet as to how to select a range by shortcut key. I am
guessing that it should be possible with some option under F5 or
control shift F5, but at a quick glance, I haven't
Best regards,
Ronanspotted how to do it yet.
