Ronan,

I'm still searching for the range just as you are.

I found that F8 sets automatic selection on. For example, If I am placed in
A4 and then press F8, I hear nothing but if I then press down arrow I hear
"selected A5, and after down arrow again I hear selected A6. If I have a
value in A4 then I can prove that I have selected the range A4:A6 by typing
"alt e I d" (these are sequential keystrokes). The contents of A4 are now
copied down into A5 and A6 Isn't this the range selection we are looking
for? My next question is how to jump to a specific cell?

All the best,

Cearbhall

Hi Cearbhall,

Like you I have been looking for the way to extend selection.

I thought at first that the name box (Control shift F 5) would let me key in
a range. It lets you enter the range but for some reason I can't get it to
actually select the range that is keyed in. I guess I will have to Google
this some more!
