Hi Derbhile, I am currently skypeless due to computer problems, but I was
using a Skypephone the kind that plugs in via a usb, but along with it came a
programme called Skypemate, which it was necessary to load to make it work.
Could it be something similar I wonder. Maybe someone with more experience
with me could throw light on this possibility.

I'm having a problem with the new Skype microphone I bought. Basiclally, the
microphone doesn't seem to be connecting to the computer. My voice can't be
heard on the test call. I've tried changing the settings in Skype itself and on
hte computer. The computer does seem to recognise that the microphone is there.
Is it possible that the actual hole that the mic lead slips into is damaged?
