Hi there,

I am a Yoshimi user (great soft by the way!) trying to get Yoshimi to work
inside Ardour as a plugin.
I use the Ubuntu Studio distribution and I have no trouble working with
Yoshimi alone but I can not seem to find it in the list of plugins for
Ardour. It does not appear in my /usr/lib/lv2/ either.

Based on some research and this
(https://www.freelists.org/post/yoshimi/LV2-install-revisited), I had the
idea of downloading the sources and build it but it didn't work (I have to
say that this is far beyond my skills and I am very confused with the cmake
instructions).

Can somebody here give me some advice?
Thanks,
Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,

The first question is which version of Yoshimi does Ubuntu Studio carry? We
only have LV2 support from V 1.3.0 onwards.

When you try to compile from source what steps do you take, and what errors do
you see?

Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.
Yoshimi source code is available from either:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/yoshimi
Or: https://github.com/Yoshimi/yoshimi
