That's correct. It was just abbreviated. However, as it caused confusion
I'll
change it in future.

OK.

You might have slightly different versions of the other packages.
Try searching for libncurses then find a possibly different numbered one
with
the .dev on the end.
Also do the same for readline and zlib

I am confused: I installed all the packages from your list. All the packages
listed here are installed.

automake
build-essential
cmake-curses(-gui)
dssi-dev
fluid
libboost-dev
libcairo2-dev
libfftw3-dev
libfltk1.3-dev
libglu1-mesa-dev
libjack-jackd2-dev
libjpeg-dev
libmxml-dev
libncurses5-dev
libreadline-dev
libxft-dev
libxinerama-dev
libxml2-dev
pkg-config
xutils-dev
zlib1g.devDo you suggest I find more packages that have similar names ?
Also I
zlib1g-dev was installed instead of zlib1g.dev, does it affect the
process ?

Sorry, I thought you said some packages were missing. You've got zlib-dev
right. I don't know where the dot came from {mutter}stupid keyboard{mutter}

So what error are you getting now?

Just in case cmake has really got it's knickers in a twist, in /src try
deleting the following then start again with ccmake .

CMakeFiles {directory}
CMakeCache.txt

If all else fails, try re-fetching the tarball in case somehow the files have
become corrupted.
