Ahah ! Well if you still have some dishes to wash or garbage to take out, I
can give you an excuse not to do it because my install still won't work...

On debian, you need to install zlib1g.dev

So I got this package and re-tried the ccmake . and configuration but I got
this other error:

CMake Error at /usr/share/cmake-3.2/Modules/FindPkgConfig.cmake:344
(message):
A required package was not found
Call Stack (most recent call first):
/usr/share/cmake-3.2/Modules/FindPkgConfig.cmake:506
(_pkg_check_modules_internal)
CMakeLists.txt:115 (pkg_check_modules)

I guess some packages are missing but I could not find out which one.

Thanks you for your kind help,
Nicolas

Buggritt! I get the impression that it's now missing pkg-config

Actually, have you checked the list in /doc/Dependencies ?

You should have all of these:

automake
build-essential
cmake-curses
dssi-dev
fluid
libboost-dev
libcairo2-dev
libfftw3-dev
libfltk1.3-dev
libglu1-mesa-dev
libjack-jackd2-dev
libjpeg-dev
libmxml-dev
libncurses5-dev
libreadline-dev
libxft-dev
libxinerama-dev
libxml2-dev
pkg-config
xutils-dev
zlib1g.dev

Some of them 'invisibly' pull in others.
