And doesn't the future of the yoshimi codebase look bright after this one
:-)
absolutely!
b.t.w., I can now push things to > 80% CPU, using several instances of
yoshimi (I like to have seperate audio outs). No xruns. Wonderful.
Wow, pushing 80% is seriously cooking. Can I ask what cpu you're using?
I've been banging my against the brick wall known as dssi lately, but
there's
also a little midi refinement in there that I'd like to push along. One of
the things holding me back on that was the alsa midi mystery, so I really do
appreciate your sorting that one out for me.
from /proc/cpuinfo:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+
a few yoshimis together with ardour and seq24
I did not do anything particular nerdy, it just worked to my
surprise. Haven't been testing that load for hours though,
only a couple of minutes, so I won't claim it's _really_ stable.
I'll try the 0.056-pre ones soon, currently I'm with 0.055.3.
I especially I ĺike the idea of a dssi plugin.
dssi in general works great here since I use it and a
yoshimi-dssi would certainly give this plugin format a
leap in popularity it deserves.
