Just a side note, and some shameless self-publicity, on the midi learn
branch i'm working on this works, you can actually see the values
changing. It's working pretty well now, and I've made some
improvements.
Now all the assigned midi-cc can are saved along with the state,
basically all the adsynth dials, all the effects and the parameters in
'controllers' are midi-controllable.

Cool, I'm interested! The notion of using OSC for all parameter control is
looking
more and more attractive for various reasons. That's going to present a slightly
different picture for tracking the values in the gui.
