Andy

Have you set the ip address on your laptop to be in the range of the router? In my experience the router does not allow the setting "obtain ip address automatically" The router will probably have a range of 192.168.0.# or very similar. You need to set the ip on your laptop to be the next in the rangeie:
router ip 192.168.0.1
Laptop ip 192.168.0.2

Hope this helps.

Martin

Hi Chris - Yes, I was able to enter the wep key there, and after that I got
the message that it was searching for the ip address, but that screen just
sat there, with no further messages! -

| Hi, this is where, like you said, you need to enter the wep key. I also
| stated that you should be able to enter the wep key through your
| connection's properties. Hope that helps.
